Filmmaker Grace Barnes brings the international problem of the use of torture into focus in the story of a Quiche Maya Indian named Miguel, accused of spying for Guatemalan guerrillas who was tortured for days and dumped on a roadside. He now lives as a refugee in the United States, seeking asylum and trying to heal his life.
