During World War II, the people of Le Chambon sur Lignon, a small French village, defied the German occupation by giving refuge to over 5,000 Jews. Their story is documented by filmmaker Pierre Sauvage, himself born and sheltered in Le Chambon. The docu mentary (89 min.) is introduced by Bill Moyers (3 min.) and followed by Moyers’ interview with Sauvage.
