30 Frames a Second: The WTO in Seattle

Video Cassette - 1 hour, 12 minutes - Color - 2000

In November 1999 filmmaker Rustin Thompson plunged into rioting outside the World Trade Organization meetings in Seattle on global trade policies to capture the confusion, anger, passion and pepper spray surrounding the week-long conference. Thompson 6;s presentation also raises questions about objective news coverage, freedom of assembly, and the role of the press in social protest.
