Lorraine M. Wright and Wendy L. Watson of the Family Nursing Unit at the University of Calgary developed this series of videos for health care professionals assisting families experiencing illness. This first program introduces family nursing, presents g uidelines for systemic interviewing and explores the Calgary Family Assessment Model. Interviews with families. including one with a monther in an oncology unit, demonstrate the difficulties created by a member’s illness.
