This video from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts explores the work of African American sulptor Alison Saar, who uses natural objects, including leaves, branches, earth and stones, along with man-made objects, to create her sculptures. Sarr describes the development of her artistic style. Dance by Norvell Robinson, Jr. and music by Butch Morris are also included. Directors Ruth Twiggs and Bruce Berryhill.
