Digital Video Disc - 50/50 minutes - Color - 1995

Terry Jones hosts this 4-part chronicle, co-produced by BBC and A&E, about one of Western civilization’s least understood chapters; the Crusades. In "Pilgrims in Arms" the Emperor Alexis and Pope Urban II take the first steps down a trai l to holy war - and massacres and looting - which still affect East-West relations today. In "Jerusalem" Jones recreates the Crusaders’ march across Anatolia to Antioch - a trek which killed two-thirds of them and ultimately leads to horrify ing savagery in the conquest of Jerusalem.
