Palestinian Jew Joseph Cassuto bought Egyptian cotton for the Japanese before World War II. Separated by war, the Cassuto family reuinite in New York after World War II, but Joseph soon moved to Japan. This film by Cassutos grandson, filmmaker Alan Berliner, uses family memorbilia to study a man who was both an adventurer and a runaway dad.
