In 1924 seven teenage girls, living in San Francisco’s Chinatown and members of the Chinese Congregational Church, founded the Square and Circle Club to aid flood and famine victims in China. Over the years the service organization has aided student s, seniors, abused, women and immigrants to America. This video records how these trail-blazing feminist Chinese American women philanthropists persevered in their club motto, " In Deeds be Square, In Knowledge Be All-Round ." Letterboxed.
