For hundreds of years non-European people have been displayed before crowds in Europe and the United States. To reverse the roles, filmmaker Coco Fusco and performance artist Guillermo Gomez-Pena took up residence in a cage as aboriginal inhabitants of a n island overlooked by Columbus. This video shows the pair going about native tasks - working on a laptop computer, watching television, reading, sewing voodoo dolls and working out. Fusco and Gomez-Pena also comment on their performance. Authentic Docum entary Productions. Open captioned.
