Federal Bureau of Investigation agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully investigate crimes heavily tinged with the paranormal in this television series, a cult favorite. Cigarette Smoking Man double-crosses Skinner in "Zero Sum". Ghostly images of fema le victims at murder scenes lead Mulder and Scully to a developmentally disabled worker in "Elegy". In "Demons" Mulder undergoes an experimental hypnotherapy, only to wake up in a motel room covered with someone else’s blood. In " ;Gethsemane" Mulder searches for a frozen alien body in Canada, but Michael Kritschgau tells Mulder he’s the target of a plot to make people believe in aliens.
