This International Code Council presentation details home building techniques which comply with the 2006 International Residential Code for one and two family dwellings. Carports, garages, emergency escape and rescue routes, stairways, handrails, smoke a larms, dwelling unit separations and accessiblity are investigated. Protection and separation between a residence and a garage based on the 2006 IRC, garage floor protection, installation requirements for escape and rescue windows, street addressing requ irements and acessibility requirements for multiple townhouses are also noted.
