In Mumbai, India, during the Hindu festival of Gokulashtami, a celebration of the birth of the god Krishma, people hang decorated pots dozens of feet above the city streets. Traditionally, groups of men band together, forming human pyramids to break the pots. This production by Cheryl Kanekar investigates a group of women from a working class textile mill neighborhood who decide to form their own pot-breaking team, challenging a male-only religious tradition.
