During the 1990s tens of thousands of poor peasants in China lined up to sell their blood for 50 yuan; unsafe collection procedures exposed them the HIV virus. Now they face ostracisim by neighbors and family members so frightened by AIDs they will not s peak of it. This film by Ruby Yang focuses on the life of AIDS orphan Gao Jun, a reserved, isolated preschooler whose uncles must now decide his fate - a little boy who will not give up. Efforts to educate people and to help AIDS orphans are noted. Thoma s Lennon Films, Inc.
