This Society of Manufacturing Engineers program surveys methods which can be used to create a model of an item to be manufactured directly from electronic data. Stereolithography, selective laser sintering, fused deposition modeling, ultrasonic consolida tion, the pro metal system, room temperature vulcanized tooling and thermo-jet modeling systems are considered.
