During a ten day visit to Uganda filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami shot footage of thousand of AIDS orphans with his digital video camera, for a planned documentary about the Uganda Women’s Efforts to Save Orphans program. In this DV documentary Kiarostami records both the toll that war and disease have taken, and the resilience and resourcefulness of the children. Cinematographer Seifollah Samadian.
