Five kabuki dances featuring Onnagata performer Bando Tamasaburo: Kane ga Misaki (The Bell Promontory) (17 minutes) a tale of a jealous young woman, similar to the Kyoganoko Musume Dojoji dance, Kurokami (Black Hair) (8 min.) shows the feelings of a high ranking courtesan, Inabune (Rice Boat) (10 min.) about a courtesan waiting for her lover, Yamanba (Mountain Witch) (15 min.) stylistically portrays four seasons in the mountains, and Sagi Musume (The Heron Maiden) (33 min.) presents the joys and sorrows of a young woman in love. Letterboxed; DVD includes English commentary by Paul M. Griffith, Japanese commentary by Seiji Kasai, Japanese subtitles.
