A cantankerous African American junkyard dealer and his long-suffering son were the main characters of this 1970s Norman Lear comedy, based on the British show " Steptoe and Son ". On this disc: 1. The Light Housekeeper - after an accident Fred gets a white housekeeper; 2. Blood is Thicker Than Junk - Lamont gets a job with a rival junk dealer, 3. By the Numbers - Fred plays the lottery, against Lamont’s advice, 4. Card Sharps - Fred breaks into Lamont’s poker game; 5. Whiplash - Fred hopes to cash in when he is injured in a car accident, 6. Have Gun, Will Sell - When a burglar leaves a gun at the junkyard Fred and Lamont try to sell it, 7. The Dowry - Lamont considers marrying a woman for a $10,000 inheritance, 8. Jealousy - Sparks fly when Fred’s girlfriend brings a male guest with her to dinner, and 9. Tooth or Consequences - Fred visits a hypnotist for a toothache, but Lamont gets hypnotized instead. Each episode approximately 25 minutes. DVD includes English and Spanish subtitles. Series stars Redd Foxx, Demond Wilson. Closed captioned.
