This series charts 50 years in the life of a group of Ju/hoansi ( Bushmen ) in the northern Kalahari Desert, as recorded by John Marshall. In "Standing Tall" Marshall visits in 1989 with the newly formed Ju/hoan Farmers Co-op as the independent nation of Namibia is born and United Nations troops help Ju/hoansi return to traditional homelands. Finally in "Death by Myth" Marshall shows that while Namibian independence brought in vast amounts of international aid, the Ju/hoan farmers receive little help.
