Documents a unique, virtually unknown monument in France, created by Joseph Ferdinand Cheval (1836-1924), a village postman who devoted 33 years (1879-1912) to the realization of his visionary palace. He belongs in the highest rank of naïve artists, and has been called the equal of Henri Rousseau. Film conceived and photographed by John Gutmann, made for the SFSU Art Department by Karen Holmes.
