After their rebellion was crushed by the Spanish Conquistadors, the Kogi people climbed up the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains of northern Colonbia and separated themselves from the world. Global warming melted the snow on their mountains, however , and now the leaders of the Kogi and other Native American tribes in the area, the "Elder Brothers", have come down to warn Westerners, the "Younger Brothers", that we are destroying the balance of life on Earth.
