Gender based discrimination and harassment have long been part of the building trades; this video looks at the Century Freeway Women’s Employment Project in Los Angeles, which trained hundreds of women in construction work. Larger issues of gender r oles, equality, identity, childcare, worker benefit negotiations, and the need to change social policies enforced by laws and conventions into common practice are also considered.
