In 1998 Maine’s Department of Human Services, without any evidence of abuse, removed Logan Marr from her teenaged birth mother’s custody. She was eventually placed with Sally Schofield, a respected former caseworker. In January 2001 Logan was f ound dead in the basement of her foster mother’s home. This Frontline video interviews key figures in this case, investigating how a child welfare system designed to protect children failed so tragically. Narrated by Will Lyman. Closed captioned.
