The1990s saw a surge in international adoptions, as many Chinese children, mostly girls, were adopted by Caucasian parents from other countries. Director Karin Lee allows several of these young people and their parents, who live in Canada, to tell their own stories about adoption, identity and growing up in an interracial family.
