Filmmaker Alex Rivera charts the migrations of a vegetable and a man in this experimental production. The potato travels north from Peru to become the potato chip, the French fry, and the root of the term "couch potato". The filmmaker’s fath er, immigrant Augusto Rivera, becomes a Peruvian couch potato, ensconced on an American sofa, eating chips and watching Spanish language television - the quintessential Papapapa.
