Mosaic Philosophy |
The mosaic is embraced as a symbol in this project in three distinct, yet complementary ways: |
The mosaic, like a puzzle, represents the complex, multi-faceted needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
The mosaic reflects the assortment of specialized services and supports that must be carefully configured by highly knowledgeable and skilled professionals and families to meet each student’s needs. Each mosaic must be uniquely crafted to maximize learning, development, independent functioning and participation in the full range of social, cultural and quality of life experiences.
The mosaic is a symbol of inclusion and diversity. To advance the quality of educational experience, this project brings together communities of learners from all walks of life, including those with differing abilities, cultural, language, social, and economic backgrounds.
