Joseph L. White B.A. and M.S., Psychology, 1954 and 1958. A psychologist and professor emeritus of Psychology and Psychiatry at University of California, Irvine, he revolutionized the way people of color are perceived and understood in psychology and has been referred to as "the father of Black psychology."

Ken Bastida B.A., Radio-TV, 1981. During his more than 25 years on local radio and television, Ken Bastida, co-anchor for CBS 5 Eyewitness News, has excelled at everything from investigative reporting to live sports anchoring.

Joseph E. Marshall, Jr.

Joseph E. Marshall, Jr. M.A., Education, 1974 The co-founder and executive director of the Omega Boys Club/Street Soldiers, he left a 25-year career in education with the San Francisco United School District to dedicate his life to understanding and eradicating youth violence.

Carla Pennington B.A., Radio-TV, 1985 As the executive producer of “Dr. Phil,” she helped the successful daytime syndicated talk show win numerous honors and now juggles this television job with another, executive producer of “The Doctors."
