Guardian Scholars Program Luncheon

 

We're proud to announce the fifth annual SF State Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) complimentary* luncheon celebrating the success of former foster youth attending San Francisco State. San Francisco State University's GSP is a comprehensive program of the Educational Opportunity Program, which serves former foster care youth who are pursuing their undergraduate degrees.

 

SF State GSP's mission and purpose is to create a system of support that will meet the academic, social, emotional, and financial needs of college-bound students who are transitioning out of the foster care system. The program is fully committed to graduating and empowering these youth to become self-supporting community leaders and to become competent professionals in their fields of interest. Join us for an afternoon to mingle and hear the inspiring stories of these dynamic students.

SF State vs St. John's University Basketball in NYC

 

Join us in New York as the SF State Gators men's basketball team takes on
traditional NCAA basketball powerhouse, the St. John's University Red Storm, at the Lou Carnesecca Arena in Queens.  This promises to be an exciting game as the veteran heavy Gators are expecting to finish near the top of the CCAA conference while the Red Storm are expecting to land a berth in NCCA tournament.

Prior to the game mix and mingle with fellow SF State alumni at St. John's University (Queens campus).  SF State President Les Wong will update you on your alma mater while you network and connect with local alumni and friends in a fun and historic setting. Light hors d'oeuvre and beverages will be served.

Taste of the Bay is a fundraiser planned and implemented by the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department and students at San Francisco State University.
