Deadline

There is no deadline for applying, but we typically close admissions two months before the start of a session, so we advise students to apply as soon as possible. Admission depends on whether we still have space at the time we receive all the necessary documents.

Fees, Deposit, & Financial Certification

Please submit the following with your application form. We must receive all the required documents and fees before processing your application:

  • $50 application fee. (The application fee is not refundable and cannot be applied toward a later application for admission.)
  • For fall 2009 the deposit is $200. (The deposit is not refundable.) (We accept personal checks with name and address imprinted by the bank, cashier checks, or money orders. No cash or travelers checks.) Your check must be made payable to SF State - CEL/ALI.
  • Financial certification or bank letter no more than twelve months old in English showing a minimum of US $28,000 for fall 2009 applications.
  • Optional: Additional $80 fee for express mail service. (If you would like your admission letter and Certificate of Eligibility to be sent by express mail, please include this fee. Otherwise, we will send all documents by air mail.)
