Southern California Off-Campus Summer Orientation Dates for Fall 2013 Admitted Freshmen
Do you live in Southern California?
Have you already visited the campus?
Take part in our off campus Summer Orientation!
For our Southern California incoming freshmen, we offer a special set of dates when the entire orientation team (over 45 of us!) travels to host three separate Freshmen dates at the Holiday Inn in the city of Buena Park (near Knott's Berry Farm). Besides our advisors and peer advisors, we will have representatives from financial aid, admissions and housing to answer your questions and prepare you for Fall 2013.
This is an extremely popular event and we advise you to register for it early, as soon after you accept your admissions offer. Space is limited and first-come, first served. We cannot guarantee everyone a space in the sessions in Southern California, which means you might need to come to our San Francisco on-campus for your orientation.
- Thursday June 6 - Check in begins at 8:15 in hotel lobby
- Friday June 7 - Check in begins at 8:15 in hotel lobby
- Saturday June 8 - Check in begins at 8:15 in hotel lobby
One family member and/or parent may accompany the student.
Plan to check in ON TIME at 8:15am and stay until around 3:30pm. Students who arrive late will have to reschedule.
University tuition must be pre-paid or financial aid awards must be on file in order to register for classes at Orientation.
Test scores or exemptions for ELM/ EPT must be on file.
Those who test after the deadline (May 7th) are not allowed to attend SF State!
Once scores for ELM and EPT are received, those students who must participate in Early Start must have begun the process.
There is a fee of $75 per person for this event which covers your advising materials as well as continental breakfast and lunch. The price is higher than an on campus date, but we will save you travel to campus for an on-campus program, so it is a bargain!
