Schedule and Location
Schedule
For those attending the Saturday orientation, your schedule
is below.
8:15-9:00 am - Check in at the Cesar
Chavez Student Center
When you check in we will tell you if:
1. Tuition payments are not on file - in that case you will have to pay them that day. Here's the site to check in advance. (Select financial statement)
2. Test scores are on file. If not, you must bring proof of testing scores or exemptions; otherwise, you will have to reschedule orientation. Here's the link to see if we have scores and exemptions. (Log in and select Test Score Report).
3. Immunizations are on file. If not, you must bring proof of shots for MMR/Hepatits B to your orientation. Remember, if you are graduating from a Cal. public high school, you need not worry about this!
NOTE: If 1, 2, or 3 are not in place, you will not register for classes that day.9:00 am - Orientation begins promptly! If you arrive too late, you will not be able to reschedule.
9:00 am - Introductions to the SFSU Orientation staff & advisors. Tips for success.
10:00 am - Students: Graduation Requirements - What classes do I need to take? Take notes and finish planning what classes you need/want to add. (Remember this site is to help you with that process.) You will be registering during the afternoon of orientation.
11:30 am - Lunch - Your family members will be there. Joining us are many student services you might need to talk to: Disability Resource Center, Career Center, Student Programs (clubs at SFSU), Housing, and more! You have about an hour to ask them any questions you have!
12:30 pm - Small group meetings - You will split up into teams, based on your major. The new student peer advisors will help you with the following:
- Give you insider facts as you take a campus tour
- Teach you how to register for classes
- Get you an SFSU ID card
- Teach you how to make a schedule for web registration
- Help you register for spring classes using the SFSU computer labs
3:30 pm - If all goes well, you should be finished with the above by this time.
A lot to accomplish! That is why we made this website. Things might go slowly if you don't review before your Orientation meeting.
