Graduate Internship Program
The Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC) provides a well-supervised internship experience for graduate students that prepares them to work in a college counseling environment. Interns will be trained to effectively counsel a diverse population of students regarding academic issues and concerns.
The UAC provides the following programs and services:
- Advising students regarding General Education and graduation requirements
- Assisting students in improving study skills (time management, test-taking, note-taking, etc.)
- Helping undeclared and change of major students explore various majors and career options
- Counseling probation students regarding their academic progress and success
- Orienting freshmen and transfer students to the University
- Teaching AU 101 - First Year Experience (college success course for first-year students)
