Midterm Tips...
Midterms are a stressful time for every student, especially when they are all bunched up into one week. These 5 tips will help you fell stress free and boost your grade.
1) It is never too early to begin studying. A lot of students wait until the night before the test to study. Approach your professor or TA of the class as soon as you are beginning to feel lost. Office hours are there for a reason; use them.
2) Form a study group. Getting together with other members of the class will enhance your studying and your grade. It gives you a chance to compare notes with other students; making sure you did not miss anything. To make sure you know the infor-mation you should teach/explain it to one another.
3) Be prepared. Make sure you bring the correct test taking materials. Including correct scan-trons, blue/green books, pens, #2 pencils, etc.
4) Be on time. The test is going to start with or without you. Coming late the day of the test will only effect your time in taking it - or you may not be allowed to take it at all!
5) Get a good night sleep. It is not effective to cram everything in the night before and then get no sleep. Studies have shown that if you study before a good night sleep you will retain the infor-mation better.
