All About Orientation Fees and University Tuition

New Student Orientation Fees
We
charge $35 for students and $25 for guests to attend ($75 each person for Southern California dates). This amount
covers your meals, advising materials and facilities fees, as well as the professional Advisors and
peer advisors from the Advising Center.
Pay Orientation Fees On Time!
We can begin accepting payments for Orientation fees beginning March 1st.
All students who pay on time will guarantee their spot in our Orientation session. See your Orientation Confirmation page for your deadline to pay orientation fees.
How to pay?
We accept checks, payable to SF State Bursar, 1600 Holloway Ave. San Francisco, CA 94132. Enclose the payment form from online orientation confirmation page.
Make sure to put SF State ID on the check.
After securing an orientation date online, orientation fee payments can be made with credit card by web payment. See instructions on the bursar's website to do so.
Please note: when paying Orientation fees online, select “Additional Fees”, then “Orientation Fees”. Also, a 2.5% convenience fee will be charged per transaction.
ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ARE NOW ACCEPTED (Including VISA)!
Financial Aid
Financial aid recipients must still pay orientation fees. It is not part of the package of your financial aid award.
If you have a Financial Aid Deferment then you DO NOT have to pay university tuition in advance.
SF State University Tuition
Check the Bursar's website for when SF State can begin accepting tuition payments for Fall 2013.
Tuition for Fall 2013 must be paid in advance of orientation or at the latest the morning of orientation in order for students to register for Fall 2013 classes. See Bursar's website for amount of tuition for Fall 2013.
If you have a Financial Aid Deferment then you DO NOT have to pay university tuition in advance.
The university tuition for Fall 2013 will be posted on the Bursar's website. Payments by credit card (VISA, MC, Discover, American Express) may be made on the web at our online payment site. See the Bursar's web site for information on ways to pay university tuition.
