Only continuing students are allowed to register for classes. Student may register for a maximun of 8 units of enrolled and waitlisted classes at this time. All holds must be cleared before registered. Fees are not due until the week of Nov 26-30th.

Your Registration Time shows your Final Priority Appointment time. You cannot access Final Priority Registration before this time. You must clear any holds and pay your fees before you register.

You can register during any Open Registration Period after your Early and/or Final Priority Appointment time. All holds must be cleared and your fees paid. All undergraduate students may register for a maximum of 19 units of enrolled and waitlisted classes starting January 2nd.

Week of Jan 14th and Week of Feb 11th Students will receive email notices about their enrollment twice each semester; the week before classes begin and during the third week of the semester. Please check your schedule and make any adjustments to your enrollment before the add/drop deadline. Check on the web at, www.sfsu.edu/student under Schedule, by phone at (415) 338-7000, or go to the One Stop Student Services Center for in person help.

Adding Classes after Instruction Begins

If you are on a waiting list or wish to enroll, attend the first class meeting. If the instructor allows you to add, he/she will give you a permit number. Use the permit number to add the class via Gator Reg (Web and Touch Tone Phone). Add by the expiration date printed on the permit number.
 
Late Adding by Exception

Adding of classes during this period is permitted by exception only. You must add using an Instructor authorized late permit number.
 
Auditing

Feb 8th Fees are the same whether you audit a course or register for credit. Add via Gator Reg (Web and Touch Tone Phone). You must get instructor approval to audit by having your instructor sign an Add Form. Bring the Add Form to the One Stop Student Services Center by the add deadline.
 
Credit/No Credit Option

In courses where credit/no credit grading is permitted, you may register for CR/NC by going to your MySFSUaccount.
 
Dropping Classes after Instruction Begins

Jan 24-Feb 20

Students can drop classes using Gator Reg (Web and Touch Tone Phone). Check the Refund Schedule (see Bursar) to see if you are eligible for a refund. If you do not drop by this deadline, follow the withdrawal procedures below. It is the student's responsibility to drop classes; including classes that are automatically added via wait lists.

8am-Midnight

This is the last day to drop classes. Gator Reg (Web and Touch Tone Phone) will be available until midnight to allow drops. If you miss this deadline, follow the withdrawal procedures.
 
Withdrawal from Class

Feb 21-Apr 24
Fill in a Withdrawal Petition. Written approval of the Instructor and Department Chair are required. Not permitted except for serious and compelling reasons. Student will receive a grade of "W".
 
Withdrawal from University
(First Four Weeks of Instruction)

Jan 24-Feb 20
Fill in a Withdrawal Card at the One Stop Student Services Center. Check the Refund Schedule to see if you are eligible for a refund (see Bursar). You will not receive a grade of "W".

Feb 21-Apr 24
Fill in a Withdrawal Petition and submit it to the One Stop Student Services Center. Not permitted except for serious and compelling reasons. Student will receive grades of "W".
 
Withdrawal from Class(es) or University
(During last three weeks of the semester)

Apr 25-May15
Withdrawal from class(es) or from the University is not permitted during this period except in cases of verified accident or serious illness. Go to the One Stop Student Services Center for further instructions.
 
Grades Available
