Professor Jiunn Huang was born and educated through his
college years in Taiwan. As a graduate of National Chengchi
University, he has his MBA degree from West Texas A&M
University and a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of
North Texas.
Professor Huang previously taught at Temple University
and Villanova University. He joined San Francisco State
University in 1986 as a Full Professor in the Accounting
Department. His primary teaching areas are: Financial
Accounting, Managerial/Cost Accounting, and International
Accounting.
Professor Huang has published his researches in various journals,
including Accountability in Research, Advances in Quantitative
Analysis of Finance and Accounting, Journal of Education for
Business, The Accounting Educators' Journal, The Woman CPA,
Journal of Petroleum Accounting, Advances in Accounting, and
Journal of Accounting Education. He has also presented research
papers to audiences in regional, national, and international
conferences.
Professor Huang has extensive experiences conducting seminars
on a wide range of accounting topics. He was the author and
presenter for Managerial Accounting video tapes produced
for, and broadcasted by, the Central Radio and TV University
of PRC. He was invited by the National Science Council in
Taiwan as a visiting research professor at National Chengchi
University during 1992-1993. He taught a 3-sesssion Managerial
Accounting course at UC Berkeley Worldwide Programs as a
module for the larger MBA Update program for executives from
Shanghai Bao Steel. Professor Huang has industry experience
as a system analyst, and as a special consultant to the president
of a multinational bakery firm.
Professor Huang is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA),
and he is a member of the American Accounting Association
and the Institute of Management Accountants.
