X. COURSE NUMBERING SYSTEM

The University implemented the current course
numbering system in September 1971. This system established framework within which the
academic curricular units could organize their offerings. Some effort was made in 1971 to
establish specific numbers to be used by all academic areas offering a common type of
course (e.g. 699- undergraduate special study, 899- graduate special study, etc.).
A summary of currently assigned numbers is as
follows:
