22-28 -- Founders' Week Celebration
- Founders' Week opens March 22, marking the day in 1899 that the California legislature approved what was to become SFSU. Concerts, exhibitions, lectures, alumni receptions, student activities, and a giant birthday cake are some of the festivities scheduled for the week. Unless noted, the public is invited to attend every event.
Monday, March 22
- Noon-2 p.m.: Campus birthday party, with 100-foot cake, hosted by President and Mrs. Robert A. Corrigan and special guests. Campus lawn
- 2-7 p.m.: Centennial Museum Walk. Tour SFSU's lively museums and exhibit sites, all in close proximity. Docent tours available. Start at any site:
