San Francisco State University seeks a Vice President, Administration and Finance & Chief Financial Officer (VPAF). The VPAF will provide strategic and operational direction for the university’s nine business departments: Budget Administration & Operations, Division of Information Technology; Fiscal Affairs; Human Resources Safety & Risk Management; Internal Audit; Physical Planning & Development; Campus Space Administration; Capital Planning, Design & Construction; Facilities & Service Enterprises; and University Property Management. Reporting directly to the President and serving on his Cabinet, the VPAF manages a budget of approximately $450 million.

The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished professional with a demonstrated record of outstanding leadership and financial acumen; an experienced financial executive with a large-scale budget that may include multiple funding sources; demonstrated knowledge of fiscal operations and principles; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in a multicultural environment.
