Error 404
Not found
Problem File doesn't exist or is read protected [even tried multi] -
Directory permissions are not setup properly

Possible Solutions

A) Change the access permissions to allow anyuser read and list access to this directory. More information about AFS- ACLS is available.
Example: at the apollo% prompt type:



fs setacl public_html system:anyuser rl
B) Also check that you have created a directory called public_html other directory names will not work.
Error 403: Forbidden - bad user directory Problem
Typed the name of an account that doesn't exist

Possible Solution

Check the accountname you substituted in the test URL. You must type the complete URL: http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~accountname. You do not need to include a reference to public_html or Welcome.htm.
