Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

Students with a history of low income and who need academic and financial assistance may apply for the program. EOP accepts students who do not meet regular admission criteria, as well as those who qualify for regular admission. The CSU's EOP information page has more details.

Cañada College/SF State Pathways Program

SF State and Cañada College have begun a partnership enabling students to take upper division and graduate level classes for SF State credit at Canada College's Redwood City campus. Electrical engineering, the BS Nursing Major, and single and multiple subject teaching credential classes are currently being offered. Plans are under way to add child and adolescent development classes in the spring. The program's goal is for students to be able to complete their four-year degrees mostly or entirely on the Cañada College campus. Students must still apply and be admitted to SF State. Disability Programs and Resource Center (DPRC)

Students with disabilities are encouraged to attend SF State. The Disability Programs and Resource Center exists to give students full access to the classroom and to campus-related activities. The center provides a range of services so students with disabilities may achieve personal autonomy at SF State. Prospective students are encouraged to contact DPRC early in the admissions process to receive assistance and information about services. Students may be eligible for one or more services, depending on the nature of their disabilities. Disability verification must be provided when registering with DPRC. Services offered by DPRC include test accommodations, note-taking and laboratory assistance, assistance with parking, shuttle services, sign language interpreters, assistive-listening devices, reader services, and technology assistance.
