Educational
Opportunity
Program (EOP)
San Francisco State's Educational Opportunity Program
is
designed for low-income undergraduate students who are California
residents
and are disadvantaged because of their economic and educational
backgrounds. Students with a history of low income and who need
academic and
financial assistance may apply for the program. EOP accepts students
who do not meet regular admission criteria, as well as those who
qualify
for regular admission. The CSU's EOP
information page has more details.

Presidential
Scholars Program
The Presidential Scholars
Program is a competitive program for a select group of newly admitted
freshmen each fall. Selection as a Scholar is based on academic merit
(minimum GPA of 3.8) and carries a renewable scholarship covering a
full year of
university academic fees.

Cañada
College/SF State Pathways Program
SF State and Cañada College have begun a partnership enabling
students to take upper division and graduate level classes for SF State
credit at Canada College's Redwood City campus. Electrical
engineering, the BS Nursing Major, and single and multiple subject teaching credential
classes are currently being offered. Plans are under way to add child
and adolescent development classes in the spring. The program's goal
is for students to be able to complete their four-year degrees mostly
or entirely on the Cañada College campus. Students must still
apply and be admitted to SF State. Visit Cañada College
here.

HealthPath
HealthPath pro
vides support for economically or educationally disadvantaged students who
wish to enter the health professions. Students interested in careers in
medicine,
dentistry, physical therapy, medical technology, radiation oncology or
pharmacy
can become part of this special program, which is open to first-time students
as well as students who already have a bachelor’s degree.

Disability Programs and Resource
Center (DPRC)
Students with disabilities are encouraged to attend SF State. The Disability Programs and Resource
Center exists
to give students full access to the classroom and to campus-related
activities.
The center provides a
range of services so students with disabilities may achieve personal
autonomy at SF State. Prospective students are encouraged to contact DPRC
early in the admissions process to receive assistance and information
about services. Students may be eligible for one or more services,
depending on the nature of their disabilities. Disability
verification must be provided when registering with DPRC. Services
offered by DPRC include test accommodations, note-taking and
laboratory assistance, assistance with parking, shuttle services,
sign language interpreters, assistive-listening devices, reader
services, and technology assistance.

Study Abroad
and International Exchange Program
SF State is affiliated
with universities in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France,
Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain,
Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe. Students can continue
their education and
earn credit toward their degrees while studying at one of SF State's
associate universities overseas. The program is administered through
SF State's Office of International
Programs.

Open
University
You can take regular university classes on a
space-available basis through Open
University, a program of the College of Extended
Learning. No transcripts, lengthy applications, or other
documentation are required. It's a way to try out a degree program to
find out if it suits your
educational aspirations.

Programs for Mature Learners
SF State makes it
possible for people
age 50 or older to audit classes or earn a bachelor's or master's degree at
significantly
reduced tuition rates. Find out about Programs for Mature
