San Francisco State is a leader in information technology. Having recently renovated its entire technology infrastructure, SF State now has 400 upgraded classrooms and two state-of-the-art "collaboratories" -- computer-mediated classrooms that enhance dialogue among students and professors. SF State has more than a dozen computing labs on campus. These include a group study room with Internet access for laptop computers and a 24-hour computer lab in the library.

SF State provides students with support, training, and access to University computing resources. All students receive a free e-mail/Internet account.
