Enrollment Options at SFSU

College of Extended Learning: The College of Extended Learning oversees SFSU's Summer and Winter Sessions as well as Open University, through which the general public can take regular University classes without formal admission to SFSU. Extended Learning also offers dozens of certificate programs as well as hundreds of individual credit, CEU, and noncredit courses. International Student Assistance: Students and scholars from other countries should contact the Office of International Programs for SFSU admissions assistance and questions about life at the University, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the United States. The American Language Institute: The American Language Institute provides language instruction, classes and workshops in cultural adaptation, orientation to the academic community, immigration advice, and assistance in selecting universities for study. Over Sixty Program: The Over Sixty Program enables people sixty years of age or older to earn a baccalaureate or master's degree at SFSU without paying traditional admission or registration fees. Study Abroad and International Exchange Program: SFSU is affiliated with 46 distinguished universities in the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe. Students can continue their education and earn credit toward their degrees while studying at one of SFSU's associate universities overseas.
