Student Guided Campus Tours
Our fun and informative walking tours are a great way for prospective students and their families to get to know our campus. Lasting less than an hour, the tour takes visitors to major buildings and facilities on the University's park-like campus, located in the southwest corner of San Francisco near Lake Merced.
Tours are led by SF State student guides who share their own experiences adjusting to university life and offer tips to help incoming students get the most out of their SF State education. The tours section of the Student Outreach website lists the current tour schedule, which changes daily.
Self-guided tour
Print a copy of the self-guided tour map (pdf)* or pick up a brochure in the Lobby of the Student Services building; hours: Mon. - Thurs., 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Fri., 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
