How to Apply - Educational Opportunity Program

For nearly 40 years, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at San Francisco State University has been a system-wide leader in identifying students with the highest potential and providing a support system for their success. EOP bridges the gap for students from educationally disadvantaged schools and low-income backgrounds, facilitating their matriculation into SF State. Visit the CSU's EOP information page for more details on how to apply.

EOP offers outreach, admission, academic and financial support for students from low-income backgrounds who are the first in their families to attend college. EOP students admitted to SF State receive ongoing advising, tutoring and workshops to make sure they successfully complete their degree requirements. These students can apply for specific EOP scholarships. Some EOP students are eligible for additional programs, such as Summer Bridge, Guardian Scholars Program and Student Support Services.
