iPhone on Exchange
Guide for configuring an iPhone to access SF State E-mail on Microsoft Exchange.

Prerequisites
Verify that 3G is enabled on your iPhone. To enable 3G, do the following:
- Go to the home screen
- Select Settings
- Select General
- Select Network
- Set Enable 3G to ON
Configure iPhone
If a Passcode has been set on the phone, you may be prompted to enter the passcode during configuration.
- On the home screen, select Settings.

- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Select Add Account...

Select Microsoft Exchange

Enter your account information:
- E-mail address: (e.g., jdoe@sfsu.edu)
- Domain: leave blank
- Username: enter your e-mail address (e.g., jdoe@sfsu.edu)
- Password
- After your account information has been verified, enter email.sfsu.edu in the Server field
- Description: leave blank
- Select Next

- E-mail address: (e.g., jdoe@sfsu.edu)
Syncing may take a few minutes. The iPhone will indicate when the configuration with Exchange is complete and successful. NOTE: Sometimes the iPhone will not register the server name, so it must be entered more than once.
