Submit an Event

The Calendar lists San Francisco State University events of general and specific interest to the campus community and the public. The Student Life section is open only to the campus community. It includes recognized students organizations, LEAD, Student Center, Associated Students, Residential Life, etc. All San Francisco State University departments, units, and recognized student organizations are welcome to submit calendar listings for their events. See Calendar Policies for more information.

Event entries should be submitted at least five business days prior to the event, or earlier if possible.

Please enter your event information below and then press "Submit Event" at the bottom of the form. We will review your submission and post it to the calendar if it is appropriate. If you need to change or cancel an event, e-mail the Calendar Editor.

An asterisk (*) denotes a required field.

If this is your first time posting an event please review Calendar Policies for more information.

Choose the one calendar section that best reflects the event you are planning and the audience you wish to reach. All submissions are reviewed by the Calendar Editor or by a designated Calendar Administrator before posting.

Student Life - this is the ONLY calendar that recognized student organizations can submit to. Items submitted to the Arts & Culture, Athletics and General Interest sections will appear here automatically

Include date of event. If event spans multiple days or weeks, include the start and end date in the "Description" box below. Exhibit start dates will appear in the main calendar, but details will appear in the separate "Exhibits" calendar.

* Event Title:
Provide the name of your event. Option: Before the name, describe the type of event in one or two words.
Example: Symposium: "Challenge for Change"

* Event Sponsor:
Include event sponsors. If multiple sponsors, include them in the "Description" box below.

* Event Contact:
Include name of individual or department/organization that will provide information about event. Name will be published.

Cost:
Fill in only if there is a charge for the event. Include variable costs where applicable. Use "Description" box below for more information, such as where, when, and how to buy tickets.
Example: $6 General; $5 students (with I.D.)

* Event Location:
Include room and building name for all campus events. Use "Description" box below for additional information. Include street address and city for events off campus.
Example: Room 117, Humanities building

Event Web Site:
Include a Web address only if a site has been created to promote the event. Do not include a general department, organization or college Web address.
Example: www.sfsu.edu/commencement

* Event E-mail Address:
Include e-mail address of individual or department/organization that will provide information about event. Address will be published in the calendar.

* Event Phone Number:
Include name of individual or department/organization that will provide information about event, if you wish that information to be published online.
Example: (415) 338-XXXX

Description:
Use this space for details about your event, if needed. Try to limit description to two or three sentences. Description required for Student Life events.
