Website Accessibility Training

The tutorials provided in this section will introduce you to Web Accessibility and help you assess the accessibility of your current and new website designs. In addition, you will learn how people with disabilities access information on the web.

Lynda.com is a respected repository of tutorials on accessibility. Included in this section are links to Lynda.com tutorials which can be accessed for free when at SF State on the CSU network or a VPN connection.

Print based tutorial

An Introduction to Web Accessibility Tutorial (pdf) is resource developed by the CSU. It will show how people with disabilities access electronic files. It will discuss what we, as information providers, are required to do to make our pages accessible. With Senate Bill, SB 302, which mandates that the CSU adhere to Section 508, we are now required to create accessible Web sites. You will learn to make your pages compliant with these accessibility standards and legal requirements.
