EVALUATION AND RESEARCH SERVICES
The Testing Center performs evaluation and research related to University needs.
On a consultation basis, it assists faculty, staff and students who are performing
studies or designing and processing a survey.
TESTS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL ASSISTANCE
The Testing Center administers tests to individual students who seek assistance
with their educational, vocational and career goals in the Advising Center,
Career Center and EOP. These aptitude and vocational interest tests are administered
at the request of a counselor or advisor who has interviewed the student and
who will interpret the results for the student.
TESTING SERVICES TO FACULTY AND ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS
Test Scoring Services (ZEUS) for Course Test
The Testing Center maintains computerized test scoring services (ZEUS) for faculty.
The instructor is given a report of student scores, a statistical analysis of
the test characteristics, and an itemized analysis of the individual questions
and their interrelationship. This service is provided within forty-eight hours
of submission of the test to the Testing Center.

ZEUS Instructor Form (Answer Key)
Is purchased by Departments from NCS Pearson at 1-800-533-0518 or may be obtained
from the Testing Center in HSS 206. The form number is NCS M103771:321
ZEUS Student Form
Is purchased by students in the SFSU Bookstore.
NOTE: Scantron forms will NOT work with the Zeus test scoring
program.
Faculty Evaluations (TALLY)
The Center assists academic departments in their evaluation of faculty teaching
effectiveness by providing computer processing (TALLY) of student evaluations
of faculty.

How to prepare forms for submission
Each class (sub-batch) must be headed with a User ID form, followed by the Student
Response forms and completed with an End of Tally form.
Example:

Where to submit TALLY forms?
All TALLY materials should by submitted for processing at the Testing
Center, HSS Bldg., room 206.
How long does it take to process TALLY forms?
Turn around time: 4 working days from submission date.
