SF State Distinguished Faculty Awards Nominations

The Academic Senate of San Francisco State University annually acknowledges outstanding faculty members for their extraordinary, meaningful and lasting contributions in the areas of teaching, professional achievement, and service. 

Honorees receive a $4,000 stipend (pre-tax) for the Excellence in Professional Achievement award and the Excellence in Service award, and a $5,000 stipend (pre-tax) for the Sarlo Excellence in Teaching award, which is sponsored by the Sarlo Foundation.   In addition, honorees receive a commemorative plaque and  certificate.

The awards are designed to highlight the tremendous accomplishments of these individual faculty members and to showcase a few examples of the consistently exceptional work of the San Francisco State University faculty.

By recognizing the achievements of our distinguished faculty in the areas of professional achievement, service and teaching, we celebrate the climate of excellence that we create together. Completed nominations should be submitted to the Faculty Honors and Awards Committee, Office of the Academic Senate, ADMIN 551, San Francisco State University, 1600 Holloway Avenue, CA 94132, by Friday, December 5, 2008.
