In
order to get your hours notated in your Official Transcript,
you must take a Community Service Learning Course.
Community Service Learning (CSL)
offers students the chance to link academic study and course
credit with community involvement and critical reflection.
CSL courses are offered in many department and disciplines.
To search for courses with CSL options, please click
here to visit the approved CSL course page.
In order
to get your hours noted in your Official Transcript, you must
be aware of the following requirements:
• Students must complete a Community Service Learning
Plan (CSL-5) before beginning service and a CSL-Transcript
form (CSL-7) at the end of service. Please
• A minimum of 20 hours of service per semester must be completed.
• Service activities performed must meet the program criteria
as determined by course instructor. Please contact your course
instructor for approval if you are unsure if your service
will meet the criteria.
•
All forms must contain the agency/organization and project
supervisor’s signature for each activity completed.
• Service hours from a previous semester will not be accepted.
• All forms must be mailed or turned in to the course instructor
no later than the Wednesday before final exam week of the
current term. Forms submitted must have original signatures--Xerox
copies will not be accepted. The due date will be the last
day to complete hours at the site unless course instructor
gives prior approval.
